This is one of the most difficult workshops I give. It's for kids in their last year, ideally in Spring (Northern Hemisphere). By now, (most of) the kids have selected the next step of their journey. They're about to finish secondary school and they suffer from a serious case of senioritis -- that feeling of invincibility one gets as they're just about to cross that finish line. These kids are on top of the world...

...and here I come, telling them all the things they might not be prepared for.

Now I know that the counselors and parents have done their best to prepare these kids -- and don't get me wrong, most do an amazing job -- but there are some things they just need to hear (again) from someone on the outside...

...from someone like me.

It's About Trust

These are not easy conversations. We'll talk about personal responsibility, the differences between high school and university course hours, managing finances, internships, career services, doing laundry, and personal safety.

And this is where I especially need the trust and support of the parents. For many kids, this is a reality check that soon they'll be "adulting" for the first time, and it can hit them pretty hard.

So I invite all parents to come to this one. I'll give you tips for how to talk to your kids about these issues and what to do when things don't go exactly as planned.

It's a 1-hour workshop, but I do try to stay as long as you need, to answer every question you've got. Plus, you've got my WhatsApp number if you need to talk.
